Permanent Residency Programs

Australia grants permanent residence in three most common ways:

  1. Family Stream Permanent Visa
    a. Partners, children, parents or dependent relatives of an Australian citizen, permanent resident of Australia or Eligible New Zealand citizen
    b. children being adopted or in the process of being adopted outside of Australia

  2. Work Stream Permanent Visa - are based on employer sponsorship or skills that are in high demand in Australia.Regional Migration Program - 2 skilled regional and 1 PR Visa program
  3. Visas for skilled migrants to live and work anywhere in Australia.
    a. Employer Nomination Scheme visa (subclass 186) – Sponsorship needed
    b. Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189)
    c. Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) – onsorship needed
    d. Skilled Regional visa (subclass 887)
  4. Skilled Migration lists are used to determine visa eligibility including the
    a. Short Term Skilled Occupation List STSOL
  5. Business or Investor Stream Investor Visa
  6. Retirement Visa Pathway - Australian government has recently created a pathway to permanent resilience for eligible retirees..   8. Refugee and Humanitarian Visa are given to candidates who have left their home country due to persecution.

Permanent Resident Visa is granted for a period of 5 years ais to be renewed before the expiry of 5 years. Citizenship is granted subject to terms and conditions after your have fulfilled all the requirements of duration of stay as a permanent resident in Australia.
