Knowledge of English
At least a B1 level of English is needed on the CEFR scale (Common European Framework of Reference of Languages). This can be achieved by passing a Secure English Language Test from an recognized test provider
When you apply you’ll need to provide:
- Your certificate of sponsorship reference number - your employer will give you this
- Proof of your knowledge of English
- A valid passport or other document that shows your identity and nationality
- Your job title and annual salary
- Your job’s occupation code
- The name of your employer and their sponsor licence number - this will be on your certificate of sponsorship

The basic eligibility for immigration is:
- The candidate must have more than five years of education and work experience in science, mathematics, engineering, or arts.
- Get an endorsement letter from any of the review bodies of the UK. There are different endorsement bodies for different subjects.
- Get three recommendation letters from your seniors.
- Get a recommendation letter from senior and present employers.
- Endorsement from one of the 6 endorsing bodies entitled by Home Office
a.Science, Engineering, Medicine, Social Sciences, Humanities, Academic and Research, Arts and Culture, Digital Technology, Cinema and Television.

There are 3 endorsement options available:
- Senior Appointment
- Endorsed Funder
- Peer Review
Once the endorsement is granted, then it is up to the Home Office to take the final call on the immigration decision against your application.
Stages in the Process Endorsement Options
- Individual Fellowship: Fast Track - Within UK Applicant - individual fellowship grant by
Royal Academy of Engineering or the Royal Society or the British Academy.
Eligibility Criteria - Fellowship at the time of application or anytime within 12
months before the date of application.
- Senior Appointments - Applicants within the UK working a Reader, Professor,
Associate Professor or equivalent senior position at a UK Higher education institute. Here, the endorsement procedure is managed by the Royal Society, British Council, and Royal Academy of Engineering.
- Endorsed Funder: crafted for scholars and researchers. Name or job title should be mentioned in a successful grant application by UKRI approved endorsed funder. Application hosted or appointed by Institutes listed in Annex 2 of Global Talent Immigration Rules.
Peer Review: standard endorsement option for applicants who get full peer review done by the Royal Society, British Academy or Royal Academy of Engineering.
