Eligibility to Apply for ILR
- EU, EEA or Swiss Citizens may apply for settled status under EU Settlement scheme
- If you work in the UK with a valid work visa
a. Must have lived and worked in the UK for 5 years
b. Tier 1 visa can be 2 to 3 years
c. Global or Innovator Visa it can be 3 years
- Have a tier 2, T2, International Sportsperson or Skilled Worker visa
- Have a Scale-up Worker visa
- Have a Global Talent, Tier 1 Entrepreneur or Investor visa
- Have an Innovator visa
- Represent an overseas business
- Have a Turkish Worker or Businessperson visa
- Are a private servant in a diplomatic household with an International Agreement visa, or a domestic worker
- If you have family in the UK - partner, parent or child or other relative settled as a British Citizen or with ILR
a. You may be eligible in situations where you partner has died or
b. Your relationship ended because of domestic violence
- You may be eligible to apply if you have lived in the UK for 10 years or more
- You may apply on the basis of your private life Applications opened in June, 2022
- If you are a commonwealth citizen you can apply for UK Ancestry visa if you have been living in the UK for 5 years if you have “the right of abode” in the UK.
- are a refugee or have humanitarian protection or Discretionary Leave
- are returning to the UK having previously had indefinite leave to remain
- served in the armed forces.

f you are married to a British Citizen you can apply for citizenship immediately.
You can apply for citizenship if you’ve lived in the UK for 5 years and have had one of the following for 12 months:
- Indefinite leave to remain in the UK
- ‘Settled status’ (also known as ‘indefinite leave to remain under the EU Settlement Scheme’)
- Indefinite leave to enter the UK (permission to move to the UK permanently from abroad)
You must also:
- Be over 18
- Prove you were in the UK exactly 5 years before the day the Home Office receives your application
- Prove your knowledge of English, Welsh or Scottish Gaelic
- Have passed the life in the UK test
- Intend to continue living in the UK
- Be of good character - read the naturalization guidance
Eligibility Criteria
- Mandatory Recognition of Foreign Professional Qualification by competent authority. Proof of Vocational / Academic Education and Training. If you do not qualify
- Attend a Qualification Program To Cover up Missing Theory/Practical Skills
- Residence Permit is given for Recognition of Foreign Qualification
i) Company Training courses, Technical Training or Job Related German language courses
- Sufficient Knowledge of German Language - At least A2 for Skilled Crafts and Trades and B2/B1 for other trades
- Medical Fitness by a German Authorized Doctor in your Area
- Police Verification - Criminal Background Check and Character Verification
- Ability to Cover Cost of Living - Money deposited in Blocked Account or

i) Gainful employment - EU BLUE CARD - RP FOR QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS

- Settlement Permit - Niederlassungserlaubnis - equivalent to Permanent Residence - leads to Citizenship after 8 years
- Visa for Jobseekers Program Sec20(1)(2) AufenthG (German Residence Act) - Work for up to 10 hours per week as part of application process-6 months
EU Blue card
The EU Blue card is a special residence permit for foreign academics seeking qualified employment in Germany.
Requirements to Receive an EU Blue Card
- German Degree, or a recognized foreign higher education degree
- Job offer from a company in Germany matching your educational qualification
- Gross annual income of at least €56,400 (as of 2022) in STEM programs. Must be approved by German Federal Emplloyment Agency.
Advantages of EU Card
- Duration of Work Contract + three additional months upto 4 year period
- Extensible but must get German Authority approval for any job changes within the first two years of employment.
- May obtain Settlement Permit after 33 months. Language skill required at a minimum of B1 in accordance with the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. (CEFR)
- Can Bring their Family to Germany, spouse and children less than 18 years of age.
